I specialise in marquee weddings in Surrey. Nicki and Will contacted me as they were looking for a Wedding Planner. They approached me to help them in the final few months of the wedding planning journey. For them, they recognised the importance of having a professional wedding planner on board to help with the logistics and final planning elements of a marquee wedding.

I loved everything about the whole concept, design and thoughts that had gone into this wedding at home in a marquee. This really was a wedding I loved working on and such a lovely couple to work with on their wedding planning journey.

Marquee at Family Home in Surrey

There is nothing more I love than a marquee reception at the family home. This is because it holds so many treasured memories and you really get to create the day you want.

The garden space was perfect and I fell in love with the stunning Victorian greenhouse at the back of the garden. Ideal for photo opportunities but just such a beautiful space

Petersham Nursery Inspired Marquee Design

Working with Mad Lilies, Luminaire Events and Inside Outside Marquees, the design concept was created and the results were simply stunning! Nicki and Will took their inspiration from Petersham Nursery as a result of the hanging ferns, wicker and zinc tables.

The two day wedding celebrations were catered for by Spook London. The team were fabulous and the food was delicious and superior quality. In the dancing marquee, a living bar was created with signature cocktails and drinks flowing throughout the day.

I would also suggest having an extra space for the evening if you have sufficient space in your garden as it makes a great transition of space. You can change the look and feel of this space for the evening by creating the party atmosphere. It worked so well for this wedding as the garden had different levels and open spaces for it to work.

English Country Garden Marquee Wedding

Working with the Petersham Nursery design, having such a pretty garden really helped bring the outside in to the marquee. This was created by having open sides and clear panels on the side of the marquee (as we did have a spot of rain on the day!).

The backdrop for some of the photographs for the day was just beautiful with an abundance of colours and natural surroundings all around them.
